Google Directory Shut Down

Performing some recent back link analysis, I found something that I missed (or perhaps forgot about). Google quietly shut down the Google Directory. No more links from directory.google.com. Although, I do think there's some nominal benefit (at least in the vertical in which I work), for submitting to dmoz.org. Actually, come to think of it, there are a lot of my clients' competitor websites that will likely have "taken a hit" from having these directory.google.com links removed. Nice.
